Latin GRAMMY nominee, Julio Reyes Copello, tops the list of nominees for the 14th. Annual Latin GRAMMY Awards with 5 nominations in the categories of Album Of The Year for Alejandro Sanz’ La Música No Se Toca and Record of the Year for “Mi Marciana” also of Sanz, Record Of The Year for Marc Anthony’s “Vivir Mi Vida,” Producer of The Year, and Best Engineered Album for an Album for Kany Garcia’s live homonymous album. This makes a total of 9 nominations for Reyes Copello for a Latin GRAMMY. The nominations were announced live this morning on a press conference at the Avalon Hollywood in Hollywood, California.
Natalie Cole, Aida Cuevas, Leslie Grace, Gaby Moreno, Ricky Muñoz, Draco Rosa and Julieta Venegas are part of the cast that unveiled the 2013 Latin Grammy Nominees. Also present at the conference was Gabriel Abaroa Jr., President and CEO of The Latin Recording Academy and the co-host of the TV show, Mira Quien Baila, Chiqui Delgado along with members of the music industry.
Alejandro Sanz recently released his single, “This Game Is Over,” alongside British singer, songwriter, Emeli Sandé and America singer and actor, Jamie Foxx. The single was produced by Reyes Copello who is the only Colombian producer to have 5 nominations for a Latin Grammy as Producer of the Year. The song continues to lead the charts on Spanish radio.
Producer of Kany Garcia’s homonymous Live Album/DVD, whose first single, “What I Go Wrong,” peaked at # 1 in sales on iTunes and in 12 countries simultaneously, Reyes Copello received two Latin Grammy nominations in 2012 under the category of Record of the Year for his work as producer of the same record and the song “No Me Compares” by Alejandro Sanz.
The 14th. Annual Latin GRAMMY Awards will be broadcast live Nov. 21 on Univision Network (8 pm ET / 7 pm Central) from the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas.
